It’s that time of the year…we’re switching to iced coffee. ![]() Those who know us know about our food obsessions. Therefore it’s only natural that we’re also, admittedly, coffee geeks. It’s easy to tell—we’re now the kind of people who use a digital scale to make our morning brew. You see, not too long ago we rebranded Elysian Coffee (some serious coffee people indeed) and gained just enough coffee knowledge to make us dangerous. Our client saw this and couldn’t stand seeing us destroy their amazing beans in a stovetop espresso maker any longer and stepped in to save us. Enter the Technivorm Moccamaster KBT741. Sounds like a cross between a science experiment and the breakfast special at The Pannekoek House doesn’t it? This is probably the sexiest looking home coffee brewer ever and it’s hand made in the Netherlands. Combined with a conical burr grinder and exactly 36 grams of fine beans, coffee has never been the same since.
![]() We’re often given a sideways glance when we tell fellow design professionals how much we love working with architects. Supposedly it’s because architects are creatives too and can’t keep their pencils off our trackpads! Our experience is the opposite. We feel we speak the same language, and the result is an even greater final result. Of course, architects are architects, and that’s what they do best. Like many other partnership-based professional service firms such as in engineering and law, they have similar challenges generating internal consensus when it comes time to rebrand themselves. Thankfully, Industrial Brand has a proven process that works, and recently, worked for GEC Architecture, a Calgary-based firm needing to filter through their history, equity and future. We helped them find the right voice to communicate who they have always been, and update how that looks to their staff, clients and prospects. Read more… ![]() Getting into shape can be tough. Basically, you have to come to your own resolute decision and then go for it. In so many ways, it’s like turning your back on your old self and starting again. That’s what Seattle-based fitness and nutrition company Kinetix Living had to do. They turned to Industrial Brand to help them turn a vision for a new, improved self into reality. They needed to bury the old, soft, lighthearted and inauthentic and rise up with a bold, gritty and genuine voice that implies sports and athletics. How’d we start? By living the brand and collectively dropping over 60 pounds collectively in about two months. It just got better from there. Read more…
Drop by the studio sometime. It’ll be great to catch up if we haven’t seen each other in a while, or if we can help you with something. We’ll brew you some damn fine, anal-retentive coffee, and if it’s too hot, we’ll toss some ice into it.
